It is a pleasure for us to cordially welcome new students and their respective parents to our after-school education program at Cerritos Elementary School. We look forward to providing an invaluable educational opportunity for your child(ren), within an environment that is safe, conveniently located and conducive to learning.
The students within our community need a forum in which they can obtain the help and support that many of them need and rely on for educational success. We acknowledge that parents in this community are highly dedicated to providing their children every opportunity to succeed in education. However, we also recognize the increasing demands of jobs and other commitments, which at times, may impact our children. As a result, there are times when we, as parents cannot provide our children with the necessary help and support to complete and understand their school work. This may be in the area of reviewing and reinforcing knowledge acquired at school, or allowing time for further practice and understanding, or merely developing good study habits.
At Ready Study Go! our mission is to provide, and subsequently maintain a high standard of educational support to our students. We aim to achieve this by hiring well-qualified tutors (many of whom are credentialed teachers), who are professional and dedicated to academic excellence, coupled with providing a low student/tutor ratio to maximize personalized learning. Our fee will not exceed the market rate for tutoring in the local area, and a proportion of our funds will be donated to the Cerritos Elementary Education Foundation which supports other activities and programs to benefit students at the school. We strongly encourage communication between parents, Ready Study Go! and the students’ teachers, to be able to provide students the help they deserve.
We began in September 2005 with a Homework Assistance Program. We now offer a Subject Tutoring Program (in addition to the Homework Assistance) in language arts, mathematics, science and social science, due to parental demand. We have recently introduced a Reading For Fun Program which is offered on Fridays, as a fun, yet educational option for students at the end of their school week. We currently offer tutoring to grades K-8, and are able to tailor student’s needs to meet their specific learning requirements. Our programs ensure that the state curriculum standards are met, if not exceeded.
Part of the success of this program rests upon you, as parents and your ongoing support. It is important for parents and tutors to work together as partners in education. Tutors welcome comments and suggestions from parents and hope that parents will value tutors' comments and suggestions as well. We appreciate you asking questions, sharing concerns and generally offering feedback.

We hold great expectations for our students’ learning and development and we will strive to achieve academic success for our students. As parents, our greatest gift is to provide our children with the necessary tools and habits they will need for success.
