Tutoring Program ~
Explore different writing styles, expand vocabulary, increase reading comprehension, math review. Standards-based, personalized curriculum for students of all levels. Entering grades 1st through 9th.
Led by ABC USD Certified Teachers, Sheila Marker (Assistant Principal/Teacher, Carver Elementary), Jeff Ives (Teacher, Stowers Elementary)
Monday – Thursday, 8am-12pm.
$110 per week. Materials included. A 4-week minimum enrollment is required.
Music, Art & Theatre Program~
Travel around the globe, exploring a new continent each week, through cultural songs, art projects & skits, culminating in a stage performance in the last week. Entering grades 1st-7th.
Possible Weekly Themes:
South America (Rainforest Animals, The Conga, La Bamba, Macarena)
North America (Patriotic - July 4th, Broadway)
Asia (Manga, Anime, Mulan, Jungle Book)
Africa (Lion King, Safari, African Patterns)
Europe (European Artists, Sound of Music)
Australia (Ocean themes - Under the Sea)
Possible Schedule of Activities:
Sketching (30 minutes)
Singing (30 minutes)
Improv Games/Puppets (30 minutes)
Recess
Completion of Art Project (30 minutes)
Rehearsal Singing/Choreography (30 minutes)
Led by Cerritos & Wittmann Elementary Music Teacher, Linda Bon.
Monday – Thursday, 12:30pm-3:00pm.
$90 per week. Materials included. A 2-week minimum enrollment is required.
